Coteccons, alongside other prominent enterprises, was honored at the 2026 VSCF Awards ceremony
VSCF 2026 is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Construction and Building Materials Association (SACA) under the patronage of the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
The award is evaluated based on criteria including green transformation, innovation, social responsibility, and positive contributions to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s construction industry. Being selected among the Top 17 exemplary enterprises demonstrates Coteccons’ steadfast commitment to sustainable development over the years.
Committed to a Sustainable Development Strategy
As a pioneer in the construction industry, Coteccons regards sustainable development not only as a long-term goal but also as the foundation of all its governance and operational activities.
Over the years, Coteccons has gradually established a greenhouse gas management framework through the development of emissions inventories, employee training, process standardization, and the adoption of international methodologies and standards such as the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064. Since 2023, the Company has conducted greenhouse gas inventories every six months through a rigorous process covering emission source identification, data collection, formula-based calculations, and verification of input data from its entire operational system, including construction sites and office buildings.
At the same time, Coteccons continues to promote the use of environmentally friendly materials in construction. By selecting suppliers certified with Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)—including low-carbon concrete, LEED-certified steel, and other sustainable building materials—the Company has contributed to reducing more than 237,415 tons of CO₂ equivalent across the construction value chain.
In addition to emissions management, Coteccons has actively implemented energy-saving solutions at its construction sites. LED lighting currently accounts for more than 50% of the Company’s lighting systems. The pilot integration of LED lighting and solar power at five construction sites helped save approximately 79,092 kWh of electricity, reducing emissions by the equivalent of 52 tons of CO₂ in 2025.
Driving Innovation and Digital Transformation
Innovation and digital transformation remain key pillars of Coteccons’ sustainable development strategy.
During the 2024–2025 period, the Company developed and put into operation 20 digital applications, corresponding to 20 digitized processes, generating an estimated value of more than USD 232,000. Platforms such as SAP-ERP, E-bidding, and DMS support the entire organization in data processing, transaction transparency, process standardization, and improved governance efficiency.
In parallel, Coteccons has deployed a digital workplace ecosystem based on Microsoft 365 integrated with AI technologies for nearly 4,000 employees, enhancing collaboration between offices and construction sites nationwide.
Coteccons’ efforts in innovation and sustainable development are reflected not only in its business operations but also through the “Triple Helix” cooperation model among the government, universities, and enterprises, in line with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. Recently, Coteccons partnered with Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City to organize a symposium presenting the mid-term report of the research project entitled “Research on Solutions to Improve the Quality of Non-fired Brick Walls: Applications in Coteccons Projects”, aiming to develop sustainable construction solutions and reduce emissions in the construction industry.
Through this project, the parties are conducting comprehensive research on non-fired brick wall systems, covering structural connection solutions, crack-risk management, construction methods, and the standardization of technical solutions currently applied by Coteccons on-site. This initiative also demonstrates the Company’s commitment to promoting environmentally friendly materials and contributing to ESG objectives and the green transition of Vietnam’s construction sector.
Building a Sustainable Future for Vietnam’s Construction Industry
Being honored among the Top 17 Pioneering Enterprises for Sustainable Development in Vietnam’s Construction Industry recognizes Coteccons’ relentless efforts in advancing green transformation, innovation, and corporate governance excellence.
As the construction industry faces increasingly demanding sustainability requirements and the goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, Coteccons will continue investing in technology, people, and green building solutions, working alongside partners and communities to create lasting value for society.
